How AI systems work at Evlek — what they decide, what they don't.

1. Why this page exists
Evlek uses AI models on a handful of surfaces — the AI Pitch search panel, the chatbot assistant, and editorial drafting support. This page describes that use in one place, in plain language. It satisfies the EU AI Act Article 50(2) transparency notice and is consistent with the TRNC Personal Data Protection Law (KKVKY 89/2007) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679).

2. Which AI systems we use
Evlek does not train or host a large language model. The surfaces below use a third-party LLM provider. The provider is named as a generic category for commercial reasons and to keep future portability open:
• AI Pitch search panel — large language model (third-party), narrow steering for the TRNC context.
• Chatbot assistant — large language model (third-party), general information help.
• Listing-text assistant — large language model (third-party), generates a title/description suggestion from the listing fields you enter. You approve the suggestion.
• Visual understanding (photo-AI) — visual understanding model (third-party), suggests captions/tags for listing photos, assesses visual quality, and detects duplicate listings.
• Editorial drafting support — large language model (third-party), draft polishing. Every article is human-reviewed by Evlek Editorial before publishing.
This page is updated when a provider changes.
3. What is sent to AI, what isn't
1) Search and chatbot
Sent: your query text (e.g. "Kyrenia 5 min walk to sea, under £800") and your selected language (TR / EN / RU / DE / AR). For listing summaries: title, price, m², room count, district (non-personal fields).
Not sent: name, surname, email, phone; location data, IP address, device fingerprint; payment information; other users' personal data.
2) Listing-text assistant
Sent: the structural listing fields you enter (property type, room count, city, district, area, features, price, currency) and your free-text note. These produce a title/description suggestion that you review, edit, and approve before publishing.
Not sent: name, email, phone, IP, payment information.
3) Visual understanding (listing photos)
Sent: a downscaled copy of your listing photo — only for caption/tag suggestions, visual quality assessment, and duplicate-listing detection.
Not touched: the photo's pixels are not changed; the original image stays as-is. Price, title-deed (koçan), and the legal nature of the listing are never auto-written by AI. All AI outputs are suggestions that pass human approval.
Per the provider's data policy, submitted data is not used for model training and is not retained persistently.
4. Your rights: have a human review the decision
You always have the right to know which automated decision affected you and to contest it. Three legal sources back this:
• GDPR Article 22 — for significant decisions produced solely by automated processing, you may request human intervention.
• TRNC KKVKY 89/2007 Article 17 — request erasure, rectification, or restriction of personal data processing.
• Turkish KVKK 6698 Article 11(g) — right to object to decisions analysed by automated systems (for users in Türkiye).
In practice: AI Pitch and chatbot suggestions are non-binding — they are guidance only. If an AI result is wrong or materially affects you, contact hello@evlek.app to request human review.
5. Limitations
AI systems are helpers, not authorities. We are explicit about the boundaries:
• AI Pitch results may not reflect the live state of a listing. Verify m², title-deed type, photos, and price history on the listing page before committing to any deposit.
• Chatbot answers are not legal or financial advice. For title-deed, tax, and contract matters consult a licensed attorney.
• Editorial drafting is for polishing draft text only; every article is human-edited before publishing.
