Visa and Residence Permit
Turkish citizens can enter TRNC with an ID card. Entry with or without a visa allows a stay of at most 90 days, including any extensions. A residence permit is required for stays longer than 90 days. Some applications benefit from concessions such as no income test; this does not grant an unlimited stay. Confirm current application conditions with Immigration. 📋October 2026 current rule: with title deeds in the applicant's name, properties worth a combined £300,000 or more qualify for a 10-year residence permit without an income test; below £300,000, the permit is for 5 years without an income test (section 14(2)(b)(iv)). Without title, a sales contract stamped and approved by the Revenue and Tax Department qualifies for a 5-year permit: at £300,000 or more, no income test; below that, regular monthly income of at least one minimum wage, evidenced by an apostilled document or bank document, is required (section 14(2)(b)(v)). Apply to the Ministry of Interior. A title deed or stamped and approved contract supports an entry visa for the residence application. Permanent residence exists under a separate law; obtain its conditions from Immigration.
